I gained a BA (Hons) degree and Masters degree in Contemporary Fine Art at The University of Cumbria. I work with whatever medium is appropriate for the topic being explored but my preferred medium is glass for its versatility and vibrancy of colour.

My proposal for Go Herdwick is to coat a sheep sculpture in glass. While my source material is crushed safety glass, for a sculpture that the general public are likely to touch, I would use a process known as kiln smoothing to smooth and eliminate sharp edges prior to bonding to the sculpture surface.
